Hunting and fishing licence
Fishing permits
Everyone who fishes in the fishing ground is required to have a valid fishing permit. The fishing permit is issued for the entire territory of the Czech Republic for an indefinite period, 10 years, 3 years, 1 year or 30 days from the date of its issue.
Note: If the application for a fishing permit is processed by another person, such a person must have the authorisation to do so.
To process a fishing permit for foreigners staying in the Prague 3 District, the following is required

valid travel document,
-
certificate of qualification obtained (e.g., a certificate from an anglers’ union of conducting angler tests) or an authorisation similar to a fishing permit issued in a foreign country,

or a previously issued fishing permit, with the exception of a fishing permit issued for 30 days,

or another document certifying that the person has already held a fishing permit, with the exception of a fishing permit issued for 30 days.
Proof of qualifications is not required to issue a fishing permit for a period of 30 days.
Length of processing time
The fishing permit is issued to the applicant on the same day, but no later than 30 days from the beginning of the procedure.

* For people over 15 years of age studying fishing or people who provide fishing within their profession or functiom, is the fee 500 CZK.

Hunting permits
A hunting permit is a basic precondition for a hunting permission and is issued for foreigners for a definite period of time, namely for 1 day, 5 days, 30 days, 6 months or 1 year. A foreigner means a natural person who does not have a permanent residence in the Czech Republic. A hunting permit can only be issued to a person over the age of 16 who is competent to perform legal acts.
Note: If the application for a hunting permit is processed by another person, such a person must have the authorisation to do so.
To process a hunting permit for foreigners staying in the Prague 3 District, the following is required

valid travel document,

valid document authorising hunting issued abroad, or proof of hunting test, provided with an official translation into the Czech language

proof of integrity – extract from the Criminal Register not older than 3 months (the extract from the Criminal Register may be replaced by a valid hunting permit from the country of residence in case of a foreigner without permanent residence in the Czech Republic applying for a hunting permit for less than 30 days),

proof of insurance (according to § 48 of Act No 449/2001 Coll., on hunting) valid on the day of issuing the hunting permit. If the proof of insurance is in a language other than the official language of the Office, the official may request an officially translated copy.
