Welcome to Prague 3
Dear Visitors to Prague 3,
If you wish to experience Prague as an authentic, unspoilt city rich in stories written by its population every single day, you are in the right spot here. Prague 3 comprises not just one of the biggest Czech cities – Žižkov but also parts of other historic Prague quarters of Vinohrady, Strašnice and Vysočany.
It might not seem like that at first glance but Prague 3 offers an abundance of cultural heritage objects which, to a certain degree, defined the history or history of art, from temples with Cubist or Art Nouveau curves to Rondocubism to the Vítkov National Memorial with one of the world’s biggest equestrian statues. Žižkov gave the world the single Czech writer ever nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature, but also one of the most frequently translated Czech books created by Jaroslav Hašek – The Good Soldier Schweik.
The charm of Prague 3 lies in the amazing mosaic of extraordinary personalities, architecture, patriotic traditions and ambience; that is why the quarter has earned the moniker of “the Montmartre of Prague”.
We are looking forward to seeing you here. Welcome to Prague 3!
